There’s a lot of rumours flying around about the opening ceremony. Yes some of them are true..but some of them aren’t. They’re just made up by someone with nothing better to do. But in a way i’m glad the rumours are there so you don’t completely know what to expect. When I went to see the rehearsal on Monday, Danny Boyle said something that really dawned on me.. “You are the first people in the world to see this show”.

I am really thankful for that because I went into the stadium with no clue what to expect. I just had no idea at all, I hadn’t read any of the papers either. I had an open mind and in the end the show blew me away. I’m glad I experienced it without people ruining it for me.. It’s so frustrating to see that even after Danny Boyle said #savethesurprise, people are still blabbing on and ruining it. But oh well it can’t be stopped I suppose.

I guess i’m trying to say that I am so proud to be British. Don’t knock the show until you’ve seen it and if you don’t like it after that, well… perhaps you just had to be there to feel the awe.

Well and truly impressed, better than any show at Disney World & that’s saying something coming from me :P
